The Great Weaving Game: A Sacred Experience
Hajar Tazi has created a profoundly beautiful experience called The Great Weaving Game, a sacred and playful space for collective remembering. It is a living ritual, where threads long forgotten are brought back into the light. The Great Weaving is the practice of deep listening to the quiet breath of the more beautiful world our hearts still know is possible. It invites us to slow down, to listen deeply, and to attune to the places where the great (re)turning is already unfolding. Co-created in circle, it helps us trace the invisible connections that bind us, across stories and struggles, across movements and memories, across the dreams we carry for a world rooted in care, beauty, and belonging. Like mycelium weaving beneath the forest floor, the Game surfaces patterns we often cannot see alone. Together, we map the relational field, nourish the seeds of possibility, and compost what no longer serves. It is a living process of interlacing our roots, weaving the mycelial web of interconnection, and tending to the seeds of life. It is also an extraordinary, place-based collaboration, a call to gather, to co-create new stories of future and place. The Great Weaving brings together alternative cosmovisions, emergent economies, scientific knowledge, and indigenous wisdom to help birth the Symbiocene: a time of regenerative flourishing among human and more-than-human communities. It is a space to remember that we are not alone, that even in the midst of the unraveling, we are part of a greater whole, entangled in a web of life yearning to be re-woven. Through shared play, presence, and imagination, we open new pathways for collaboration, grounded in love, and guided by the possibility of the more beautiful world our hearts still remember.
